About the INITIATIVE – British Swiss LEGENDS

For over a century, The British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce (BSCC) has been committed to strengthening the relationship between Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Through an open platform for dialogue, networking and collaboration, the Chamber brings together businesses, government, academia and individuals across both countries.

The relationship between the United Kingdom and Switzerland is defined by deep economic ties, shared values and a long-standing tradition of collaboration across sectors. From finance and trade to science, innovation and culture, both countries continue to play a significant role in shaping Europe’s global competitiveness.

Celebrating the Individuals Shaping British–Swiss Relations

At the heart of the British-Swiss relationship are individuals whose vision, leadership and commitment have helped shape bilateral ties.

British-Swiss Legends is a celebration of individuals who have made a significant and positive contribution to the relationship between the UK and Switzerland.

Through their stories and insights, we seek to deepen mutual understanding, highlight economic and cultural collaboration, and inspire future connections between the two countries.

A Community-Led Initiative

The Legends are nominated by the community through an open call, recognising individuals for their contribution and vision for UK–Swiss relations.

The individuals presented on the website form part of the 2026 cohort.

Nominations are open on an ongoing basis, and we welcome submissions for future cohorts.

We invite you to put forward individuals who have made a lasting contribution to bilateral relations across business, culture, science, politics, sport or innovation.

Criteria for a Legend
Nominations are guided by the following criteria

Enduring, long-term impact
Recognition within their field
Contribution to communities in both countries
Innovation and originality
